Pictures & Videos 2017-19
Lives are being changed at LMSalk!  Through dedicated and selfless volunteers, God uses young people and adults to come together for a week to be the hands and feet of Jesus by repairing homes and hearts of our homeowners.  In turn, these homeowners touch the hearts of the campers as they work alongside to make repairs and join in the community of faith.  God is a very real presence and when we all respond to His call, we find purpose and meaning!

2019

This year our theme was "Who Do You Say I AM?"  We learned how Jesus is the LIGHT, GATE, SHEPHERD, RESURRECTION & LIFE, WAY TRUTH & LIFE, VINE, and BREAD.

“Who do you say I am?...You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”—Matthew 16:15-16

God’s blessings were upon us in our 9th year:

  • We served 4 homeowners in the Irmo and Columbia communities!

  • 50 campers faithfully served our homeowners repairing roofs, flooring, plumbing, ceilings, cabinetry, bathrooms, kitchens, painting, appliances, furniture, and were also able to touch the hearts of our homeowners, as they worked alongside us.

  • Overwhelming support came in the form of monetary and material donations from Parents of campers, Union members, New Life Silent Auction, John Rowland and Joy  Classes, Chick-fil-a Ballentine, First UMC in Myrtle Beach, Bethel UMC in Columbia, and more!

  • God’s words were shared through powerful evening devotions, site devotions, uplifting prayer, inspiring music, meaningful foot washings, renewing communion, and more!

  • So blessed to have Jason Barrs take over as Camp Director next year!

2017

"The 7 Words from the Cross" was our theme this year since it was our 7th year, in the 7th month, of 2017!  We learned through the scriptures that we can apply this to our daily life, not just around Easter time.  "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life."--John 3:16

God richly blessed us in our 7th year:

  • We served 4 homeowners in the Irmo, Chapin, and Little Mountain communities!

  • 43 campers faithfully served our homeowners repairing roofs, flooring, plumbing, ceilings, cabinetry, bathrooms, kitchens, painting, appliances, furniture, and more.

  • Fantastic, faithful and generous community volunteers provided:  Meals -  Riverland Hills Baptist, Brookland Baptist Foundation, Salem UMC, Chapin UMC, Union UMC – Breakfast Buddies, Joy Class, John Rowland Class, Seekers Class, New Life Class/Men in the Mirror, Union Youth, Catholic Friends, the Caskey family; Lodging – Union UMC; Showers – Irmo Middle School; Site Snacks, Hospitality Kits, First Aid Kits, Registration help, Financial oversight, Medical support, Pillow Agape, Photography, Tech Support, Praise Band, Setup/Cleanup help, and more!

  • Generous support came in the form of monetary and material donations from Parents of campers, Union members, New Life Silent Auction, John Rowland and Joy  Classes, Chick-fil-a Ballentine, local churches in Columbia and across the state, and more!
